This beginner tutorial shows how to get from “open the app” to a working Copilot session you can use for real coding tasks.
Overview
The video covers how to start an agent session in the GitHub Copilot app and set it up so Copilot has the right context to help.
What you’ll do in the Copilot app
- Write your first prompt to describe the task you want help with.
- Add project context by attaching either:
- A local folder, or
- A GitHub repository
- Choose between different AI models for the session.
- Use built-in voice input to explain your coding problem in natural language.
- Select agents and run remote sessions.
