Supervise Autonomous Agents with the Power Apps MCP and Agent Feed
Jacob Wilkinson explains how Power Apps’ MCP Server and Agent Feed help keep humans in control as autonomous agents do more work inside business applications.
Overview
This session introduces a public preview feature in Power Platform that lets autonomous agents built in Copilot Studio surface their work directly inside Power Apps model-driven apps.
Key ideas covered:
- The supervision problem for autonomous agents: shifting from “can the agent do it?” to “how does a user stay in control?”
- Agent Feed in model-driven apps:
- Surfaces agent tasks and progress
- Flags blockers
- Proposes data changes for a human to review
- Enables real-time collaboration between an agent and a user
- Power Apps MCP Server:
- The server component that exposes tools/capabilities used by agents in this model-driven app supervision flow
Demos shown
- Demo 1: Agent Feed + Claim Intake Agent
- Demo 2: Coverage Determination Agent
- Final results/outcomes and how to provide feedback during the preview
