GitHub has expanded access to Copilot usage metrics with a new enterprise role:
Enterprise Role: View enterprise Copilot metrics
Key Features
- Expanded Access: Any user assigned the
View enterprise Copilot metricsrole can now view granular usage metrics—not limited to enterprise admins or billing managers. - Copilot Usage Metrics APIs and Dashboard: These tools provide detailed insights into how Copilot is being used across your organization.
Getting Started
- Enable the
Copilot usage metricspolicy under AI Controls > Copilot. - Assign users the new
View enterprise Copilot metricsrole via People > Enterprise roles. - Direct users to the Copilot Usage Metrics APIs and Dashboard for immediate access to insights.
