Claude Haiku 4.5 Now Available in GitHub Copilot Across All Supported IDEs

Claude Haiku 4.5 is now generally available to users across all GitHub Copilot tiers, including Copilot Enterprise, Copilot Business, Copilot Pro, and Copilot Pro+.

Supported Environments

You can access the Claude Haiku 4.5 model in the following locations:

  • GitHub Copilot Chat on github.com
  • GitHub Copilot CLI
  • GitHub Mobile
  • Visual Studio Code
  • Visual Studio
  • JetBrains IDEs
  • Xcode
  • Eclipse

These can be accessed through the chat model picker in agent, ask, and edit modes across all supported environments. If you do not yet see the option, it may take some time to roll out to all users.

How to Enable Access

For Organizations (Copilot Business and Enterprise)

  • Administrators should enable the Claude Haiku 4.5 policy within Copilot settings.
  • Once enabled, organization users will see Claude Haiku 4.5 available in the model picker across all supported IDEs.

For Individual Plans (Pro and Pro+)

  • Users can enable Claude Haiku 4.5 by selecting it in the model picker of any supported IDE.
  • There will be a one-time prompt to confirm selection.
