Greetings from Las Vegas! Reporting from VMware Explore, we’re excited to share the latest updates for Azure VMware Solution (AVS). Our team is actively engaging with customers, hosting sessions, and showcasing demos.
Key Azure VMware Solution Enhancements
- Azure VMware Solution is now in 35 regions
- AVS has expanded globally, recently adding Korea Central and Spain Central.
- Eight more regions launching soon: Belgium Central, Chile Central, Indonesia Central, New Zealand North, Norway East, Malaysia West, Poland Central, and South India.

- VCF Private Clouds & Portable VCF Subscriptions
- AVS supports the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) bundle, giving a consistent managed service experience.
- Portable VCF subscriptions enable paying only Microsoft for service and infrastructure on AVS.
- DISA Provisional Authorization at IL5 for Azure Government
- AVS is approved within the DISA Provisional Authorization (Impact Level 5), enhancing security compliance for government workloads.
- Advanced Storage Integration
- Azure NetApp Files now offers four service levels, including a Flexible option for customizable storage and performance. Learn more.
- Azure Elastic SAN supports all AVS node types (including AV64), providing a fully managed, scalable, and VMware-certified SAN. Learn more.
